• The company has been awarded a Gold rating in the categories of Best Practice Recommendations (BPR) and Sustainability Best Practice Recommendations (sBPR)

• An initiative of the European Public Real Estate Association (EPRA), the awards were created to acknowledge advancements in sustainability and efforts to ensure detailed and transparent financial reporting

• Since achieving a Silver rating in the BPR category in 2019, Castellana Properties has gone from strength to strength, enhancing its reputation for leadership and upping its performance every year

Castellana Properties, the listed specialist retail property company, has once again obtained the highest distinction at the EPRA (European Public Real Estate Association) Awards. Committed to best practices in sustainability and financial reporting, the company saw its efforts rewarded with not one but two gold ratings .

EPRA awarded Castellana Properties a top score in the Best Practice Recommendations (BTR) category for its exemplary adherence to reporting guidelines. The company picked up a second Gold award in the Sustainability Best Practices Recommendations (sBPR) category, in recognition of its commitment to sustainability. Assessors were particularly impressed by its dedicated reporting in this area, providing a detailed review of all efforts and initiatives introduced to date.

The EPRA awards shine a spotlight on the effort and commitment shown by the European real estate sector in ensuring investor access to transparent information. These two categories focus on the successful adoption of EPRA’s guidelines for financial reporting, non-financial reporting and ESG.

Castellana Properties has participated in the awards since 2019, when it received its first EPRA BPR Silver Award. After repeating this achievement in 2020, it has outmatched its own performance in every subsequent year. The company won its first EPRA BPR Gold Award in 2021, just two years after its IPO. It won two Golds, EPRA BPR and EPRA sBPR, in 2022, which have been now re-awarded for three consecutive years.

Débora Santamaría, CFO of Castellana Properties, commented: “one of our core values as a company is transparency, with respect to both financial information and sustainability. At Castellana Properties, we strive for continuous improvement in our reporting methods to better serve the investor community. It is a great source of pride to receive the highest awards in both of these categories. This achievement is a testament to the hard work of our teams and a symbol of our commitment to being a positive force in society.”
