Castellana Properties, a publicly traded company specializing in the acquisition and management of shopping centers and retail parks in Spain and Portugal, has signed an agreement with designer Eduardo Navarrete to exclusively present his handbag collection “Musas” — an artistic and design-driven project that pays tribute to iconic female figures from the Spanish cultural scene.

The collaboration will kick off on July 11 at the Habaneras shopping center in Torrevieja (Alicante) — the designer’s hometown — where the handbags will be on public display for two weeks. The collection will then continue its journey through three other Castellana Properties shopping centers in various regions of Spain, allowing visitors to discover and enjoy this celebration of Spanish design. Specifically, the exhibition will start in Habaneras (Alicante) and later travel throughout the year to Bahía Sur (Cádiz), El Faro (Badajoz), and Vallsur (Valladolid).

Cristina Macarrón, Marketing Director at Castellana Properties, stated:

“At Castellana Properties, we believe shopping centers should be vibrant spaces where people can not only shop but also find inspiration, discover talent, and connect with cultural experiences. This agreement with Eduardo Navarrete allows us to continue supporting Spanish fashion from a creative and inclusive perspective, offering experiences in our centers that invite people to live fashion in a different way.”

For his part, Eduardo Navarrete shared:

“I’m proud that this collection continues to travel and reach more people. ‘Musas’ was born as a tribute to women who have been role models in my life and in this country’s culture. Being able to share their stories — and the story behind each handbag — in different corners of Spain makes me truly happy.”

The designer himself will present the collection at each center, and the exhibition will remain open to the public accompanied by informative panels that reveal the design process, the inspiration behind each piece, and the handcrafted approach taken in their creation.

About Eduardo Navarrete’s “Musas” Collection

“Musas” is the first handbag collection by designer Eduardo Navarrete. It consists of six unique, handmade leather pieces crafted in Madrid, each inspired by an iconic figure from Spanish culture: Nieves Álvarez, Alaska, Rossy de Palma, Bibiana Fernández, La Terremoto de Alcorcón, and Rosario Flores.

The handbags were made in the workshop of renowned Spanish leather artisan Ana Boffa, and each piece reflects the personality of its muse through carefully selected shapes, materials, and colors.

After its official launch in February during Madrid es Moda, the collection was auctioned for charity, raising over €5,000 for the APRAMP foundation — an NGO dedicated to protecting women in vulnerable situations.
