Castellana Properties, a listed company specialising in the retail sector, has been awarded Great Place to Work certification for a third consecutive year by the consultancy firm Great Place to Work®. This year’s ranking gave the company a confidence index of 92%, one point higher than last year and five points higher than in 2021, considered outstanding at the time. It appears that the drive for continuous improvement is paying off, putting Castellana Properties 15 points ahead of the sector average. Furthermore, 97% of employees believe that Castellana Properties is an excellent place to work, with 75% emerging as “promotors” or “ambassadors” of the company.
The data was obtained via a survey comprising over 70 questions and was completed by 97% of the workforce. The survey analyses five areas: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie. Castellana Properties has improved its score compared to its good results in last year’s report, achieving 95 points in camaraderie, 94 in credibility and pride, 91 in fairness and 87 in respect.
A workplace for everyone
The company can be especially proud of its workplace well-being index, which now stands at 89 points. Employees particularly value the financial security of their jobs (96%), their relationships with colleagues (93%) and the sense of psychological stability fostered by the company (90%). They see Castellana Properties as an emotionally and psychologically healthy place to work, where managers assign and coordinate tasks in a reasonable and appropriate way. The company’s performance in these areas has improved since the previous survey. For example, 97% of Castellana Properties employees reported that they can rely on the support of their colleagues.
The company has continued to build on the excellent results of 2022
In terms of employee satisfaction and sense of belonging, Castellana Properties continues to stand out from the crowd. The survey found that 97% would recommend it to family and friends as an excellent place to work, and the same percentage feel proud to be part of the company. Similarly, 94% said they feel a strong degree of confidence and commitment towards the firm, regarding it as an excellent place to work, where they would be happy to remain in the long term.
In terms of its day-to-day activities, 97% of respondents expressed a lot of confidence or total confidence in the board of directors. Employees strongly rated the company’s leadership style, giving it an average of 92 out of 100. However, they reserved their highest scores for the categories of empowerment and responsibility (97%), communication and participation (97%) and values and ethics (95%). Most employees feel that their managers trust them to do their work well, involve them in decisions that could affect them and can be relied upon to keep their word. Similarly, they are happy with current opportunities to be recognised for their work and believe that their input is valued.
As these results show, the company remains firmly committed to retaining talent and promoting from within, having built a highly motivated team benefitting from a supportive, respectful and welcoming working environment.
